Ceramic Ferrule

Due to their exceptional properties, engineering ceramics are typically employed in specialized industrial applications. They are indispensable in conditions involving extreme temperatures, intense corrosion, significant wear, and the need for electrical insulation, which necessitate engineering ceramics to ensure optimal performance and durability of equipment.

In the industrial sector, ceramic ferrules are crucial for heat shielding and protecting metal tube sheets and connections from corrosion. The essential properties of these products are:

   1. High mechanical strength to withstand physical stress.

   2. High melting temperature (also referred to as softening temperature) to maintain structural integrity under extreme heat.

   3. High corrosion resistance to ensure longevity in aggressive environments.

   4. Thermal shock resistance to endure rapid temperature changes without damage.

   5. High insulation properties

   6. Preservation of properties at high temperatures to ensure consistent performance under industrial conditions.

This product finds its primary application in industrial processes such as the recovery of sulfur and methane steam, operation of ethylene furnaces, and waste incinerator boilers, among others. It is utilized in three main formulations within the industry:

   1. Alumina with a purity level of 92% or higher, which provides excellent durability and resistance to wear and high temperatures.

   2. Mullite compounds (often referred to as molality compounds), known for their excellent thermal shock resistance and mechanical strength.

   3. Zirconium silicate, valued for its high fracture toughness and thermal stability.

Alumina Ferrules

Alumina ferrules are manufactured to meet the specifications of modern refining units, predominantly utilizing high-purity alumina (purity range from 85% to 99.6%) compounds tailored to the ferrule type and its specific installation site. These components vary in size and are integral to the industry, with their quantity, variety, and installation guidelines dictated by the boiler's design. Noavaran Negin Pajouhan Company prides itself on being one of the select manufacturers within the nation, having provisioned ceramic ferrules to numerous refineries such as Shazand Refinery, Persian Gulf Star, and the South Pars Gas Comlex (SPGC) project.
