The Laboratory of Mechanical Properties and Structural Mechanics offers comprehensive tests to evaluate the mechanical properties of various materials. These tests adhere to national and international standards, ensuring broad applicability. The laboratory is equipped to conduct:

     - Tensile Tests (Conforming to ASTM E8, ASTM A370, ISO 6892, and ISIRI 10272 standards.)

     - Bending Tests (In line with ISIRI 1016 standard.)

     - Compression Tests

     - Shearing Tests

     - Hardness Measurement

     - Impact Tests

The Structural Mechanics Laboratory offers a comprehensive array of services to ensure the integrity and compliance of construction materials and processes:

     - Testing Services: Full-scale testing of construction rebars, corner profiles, beams, studs, can profiles, door and window profiles, bolts and nuts, washers, and construction sheets, adhering to national and international standards.

     - Welding Analysis: Detailed examination of welding processes across various construction elements such as sheets, joints, and pipes, including micrographic and mechanical welding tests.

     - Material Testing: Extensive testing capabilities for a variety of structural materials, including bricks, tiles, ceramics, mosaics, building stones, concrete, sandwich panels, tow wire, and tile adhesives.

Universal Strength Gauge Testing

Capabilities:

     - Measuring Scale: From 10 N to 600 KN

     - Stress-Strain Curve Illustration: Capable of plotting the engineering stress-strain curve for material analysis.

     - Strength Assessment: Determines yield strength, modulus of elasticity, and ultimate tensile strength (UTS) for materials.

     - Ductility Evaluation: Measures ductility through parameters such as elongation percentage, cross-sectional area reduction, and swelling percentage.

     - Welded Sample Analysis: Investigates the tensile and bending properties of welded materials.

     - Standard Compliance: Ensures all tested samples meet relevant national and international standards.

     - Sample Versatility: Tests a variety of sample shapes, including round, flat, pipe, and bolt, specifically for shearing tests.

Impact Testing Devices: SIT-300E and SIT-20E

     - Energy Capacity: The SIT-300E can deliver 300 Joules, and the SIT-20E can deliver 20 Joules of impact energy.

     - Standards Compliance: Both devices meet the ASTM E23, ISO 148, and EN-10045-2 standards

     - Design Conformity: in line with ASTM-D6110, ASTM-D256, ISO-179/180, and ISIRI 6981 standards. The test methods include Charpy, Izod, and tensile impact as per standard 13802 and ISO 8256.

     - Calibration Capability: Calibrated indirectly, which involves calculating the device’s friction in 11 half-cycles of the pendulum. This process includes software assistance for automatically calculating the pendulum’s real energy, speed, and accurate angles.

     - Comprehensive Reporting: A full test report is generated, detailing impact energy, release angle, pendulum rise angle, impact speed, impact center, cross-sectional energy, and friction loss.

     - Sensor Integration: The pendulums can be fitted with sensors to chart force-time and speed-time graphs during material failure.

     - Precision Measurement: Equipped with a digital system for precise angle measurement.

Polymer Hardness Testers: Models Time TH210 & TH200

     - Hardness Scales: Using the A and D scales of the Shore hardness system.

     - Standards Adherence: Conform to international standards including ISO 7619, ASTM D2240, DIN 53505, and JIS K7215
